Description
“Creating a more seductive dish” is how Paula Wolfert describes using vinegar in cooking. We absolutely agree! Our Clay Coyote Vinegar Crock is the perfect vessel to brew your very own batch of vinegar as your next DIY project. Add a few tablespoons to soups, stews, sauces, or make your own dressings.
More than a decade ago, cookbook author Paula Wolfert put the Clay Coyote on to the idea of home-brewed wine vinegar. We developed a handcrafted vinegar crock that holds a ½ gallon of liquid along with a spigot specifically placed to allow the residual “mother” to form at the bottom. Our Clay Coyote Vinegar Crock also comes with two lids. One that allows the vinegar to breathe and one that allows for closed needs such as lemonade or iced tea.
- Made out of Stoneware Clay.
- Available in Joe’s Blue, Midnight Garden, Yellow Salt.
- Comes with 2 Lids: Hole Lid for breathing and Closed Lid to cap.
- Stamped with Clay Coyote logo.
- Instructions included.
- Mother/Starter not included.
- NSF approved Plastic Spigot.
- Microwave, dishwasher, oven, and food safe.
- Lead, cadmium, nickel-free and safe for people with metal allergies.
- 10-11” in height and holds about 3/4 gallon of liquid.
Clay Coyote Vinegar Crocks are handmade, wheel thrown, and are custom patterns and designs of Clay Coyote Arts, Inc.
All Clay Coyote Vinegar Crocks will look similar, however, please allow for some handmade differences.

Think Outside the Crock!!
You can do SO MUCH MORE with a Vinegar Crock then make your own vinegar.
Of course, the crock could also be used for other liquids. Ferment kombucha, brew tea, serve lemonade, or whip up a mixed cocktail. Homemade vinegar also makes a great holiday gift.

I’ve had 4 of these crocks- 2 for red wine and 2 for white wine vinegars for maybe 10 years. Homemade vinegar is so much better and so much more potent than those awful, chemical tasting ones you pay big bucks for in the supermarket. They are incredibly easy to start and maintain…sometimes the only hard part is having “leftover wine”! Buy one and start your own vinegar NOW!

My week has been made all The More FABULOUS by the arrival of my New SPECTACULARLY STUNNING CC Vinegar Crock (my 11th Terrific Treasure to add to My Lurvely CC Collection) in the GORGEOUS Feather/Root Beer Float glaze! SQUEEE! WOO HOO! GORGEOUS! BEAUTIFUL! MAGNIFICENT! OUTSTANDING! Truly another undeniable Incredible Work of Art!! I can’t stop looking at & holding This BIG (and HEAVY!) Lurvely Piece! (And that Feather/Root Beer Float glaze is SOOOOO VERY PRETTY!) The weight of this piece is actually comforting to me (every single one of my CC pieces are like this)! Just thrilled with it and its versatility! TYSVM to Morgan, Betsy, Eric and all The Lurvely Coyotes for creating SUCH BEAUTIFUL FUNCTIONAL ART! And A BIG TYSVM, also, for packing My Newest Treasure so very securely so it arrived safely! Like all My AMAZING CC Lurvelies, it will be well-used, well-loved & cherished! I will be using this crock to brew up some healthy & tasty water kefir (an amazing probiotic beverage)! I also hope to get another one soon but will have to re-org my entire kitchen counter space as I have no available space for a 2nd crock at this time…lol. Big hugs & lots of love & blessings! #CCFangirl 🙂 <3 <3 <3

I ordered two vinegar crocks in two different glazes. Shipping was almost immediate (my items were in stock) and they arrived very quickly. They were packaged very carefully so arrived in perfect condition and they are BEAUTIFUL. I love them so much, and am thrilled that this shop was recommended to me by the Etsy shop that I purchased my vinegar mother from. Now if only my vinegar would do its thing as fast as my crocks were delivered. The good news is that while I wait (oh so patiently) for my vinegar to be ready, I have these pieces of art to see on my counter. This is way better than the Mason jars I had stuffed under my sink. 🙂
