We think of everyone of you like family, and in this time of international crisis it’s important to take care of our family and our community as much as possible. So we wanted to take a moment and reach out.
So many people are asking, “how can I help small businesses right now?” While all small businesses are different, below are three impactful ways to help us.
- While we know shopping for pottery online may not be your #1 priority, if you are in the market we do have most pottery in stock and ready to ship. So buying online would be one way to help us out. We are happy to gift wrap if it’s a gift for a special someone that you can’t be with in-person right now, just make a note. Also, remember to click free shipping if your order if over $99, because of the system we use, unfortunately it’s not automatic.
- Another HUGE way to help is by sharing your experiences with our pottery. Are you home and cooking in more? Please take photos, post them online, and tag us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Share and tag your photos in groups like Cooking with Clay or the NY Times Cooking Community (or any other sites you love). The best form of marketing is word-of-mouth and when you share your Coyote experience it really, I mean really, helps. If you don’t want to or aren’t comfortable using online tools, you can email with your photos and we’ll post them with your initials, like this chorizo and bean tagine from NP in Albuquerque.
- We also LOVE sharing cooking with clay recipe ideas. We are going to be hunkering down and cooking at home a lot more (although tonight we were thinking of ordering take-out to support one of our local haunts). We’ve got a pantry and freezer full of odds-and-ends and we like to get creative!
We don’t know what’s going to happen at the end of this global pandemic, there will be health, economic, and community impacts far greater than we can even imagine right now.
In our community, like yours, small businesses, local shops, the service industry, nonprofits, and caretakers are being hit hard. And some places may not be able to open their doors back up when this is all over. It’s a very unnerving time.
And yes, we should all be social distancing, but that doesn’t mean isolating. If you need a friend, call us. We’re here to listen, send virtual hugs, tell bad jokes, and just be there … you are part of the Coyote family.
Love from the bottoms of our hearts and pots,
Morgan & The Coyotes
