For the last few months, we’ve been on an amazing journey … and today we got some really exciting news! 
Here at the Clay Coyote Gallery & Pottery we’re always looking to our local Hutchinson Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism for fun opportunities. A few months ago, they told us that the MN Super Bowl Host Committee wanted local, diverse businesses to apply to be a part of Super Bowl LII, held at the new U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis next February.
So far the process has been wonderful, there have been workshops, Pitch Days, and tons of networking opportunities. It’s been amazing to be part of the process. Almost 1,000 businesses were “vying for a chance to serve the estimated 100,000 visitors to Super Bowl events over 10 days and bring home a share of the projected $400 million economic impact coming to town,” according to this article in the Star Tribune.
We pitched our “ultimate tailgating tool,” our Clay Coyote Flameware Grill Basket. Our pitch showcased our one-of-a-kind, uniquely Minnesotan, art you can grill with.
Standing on the 31ts floor of the U.S. Bank Building, in front of the Super Bowl Host Committee we said, “At Super Bowl 52, the Bold North will provide unparalleled hospitality while entertaining top executives, coach and players’ families, key partners and sponsors. Give your VIPs the ultimate tailgating tool. Our grill baskets are the perfect thank you gift and they’ll use it forever. Send them home with a piece of Minnesota.”
And it must have worked, because today we received notice that we’re in!

The Business Connect Resource Guide is a comprehensive guide for local, diverse procurement activities surrounding Super Bowl LII. Included in the Resource Guide are selected business listings encompassing a wide variety of products and services. Each business that is listed has been vetted and qualified by Business Connect staff to ensure adequate ability, capacity and knowledge to meet the needs of Super Bowl LII stakeholders; including the NFL, Host Committee and their partners and contractors.”
After a lot of jumping, screaming, high-fiving, and our own version of a touchdown dance, we stopped, took a breath and thought, “WOW! This is awesome!”
