Description
Ansel Beck aims to create one of a kind functional art with a recognizable style which is achieved through a process that combines throwing and altering forms. To create a unique surface texture, he first applies slip to his wares and then brushes, pours, and sprays glazes. He is influenced by English, Japanese, and American Pottery; Beck’s overall goal is to create work that is tactile and aesthetic that finds it way into a user’s daily life. He finds inspiration from the colors of the sunsets, the ocean and the redwood forest.
