In just a few days Katie Teesdale and Levi Yankosky will join the Clay Coyote Team as our first new potters. They’re both coming to the Clay Coyote with the same goal, yet they’ve never met. Much like Tom (Wirt) and Betsy (Price) set out to do almost 25 years ago, they’re trying to launch their small businesses at the Clay Coyote.
The Clay Coyote is a small business incubator for emerging ceramic artists in central Minnesota. We’re different from traditional post-graduate residencies or technical apprentice positions because the Clay Coyote program is designed to help emerging artists launch their small businesses. The program includes hands-on pricing, marketing, and financial mentoring.
The new studio offers three distinct spaces for private work, along with collaborative spaces for detailing, glazing, and firing.
Together, the Emerging Artists and the Clay Coyote team collaborate to grow the next generation of Minnesota potters.
There is still one space remaining for a third emerging artist. Inquiries and more information please email Morgan.
