We make art you can cook with
There was an old saying in the Clay Coyote studio, “I may be older than dirt, but I’m not older than Wirt.” For more than 20 years, Tom and Betsy ran the Clay Coyote before selling it to Betsy’s daughter in 2016.
For the last 6 years, Tom continued to make pots under a new umbrella, NewClay Pottery. Following his 80th birthday, in early 2023 he retired, moved, and closed the studio. He still had some pieces remaining and collaborated with Betsy to finish them.
Join us for “one last turn” to buy one of Tom’s pots. There are some favorite shapes and styles, finished in classic Clay Coyote glaze patterns.
Tom will be onsite both days to talk pots and share memories.
Pro Tip: Come early for mugs, plates, covered casseroles, and colanders.
Complimentary refreshments will be available.
**And Support a Good Cause**
Some pottery will be marked as “by the pound” or “suggested donation” and all proceeds will go toward the Hutchinson Center for the Arts!
