We recently conducted a survey of what you’re looking for from the Clay Coyote. And we appreciate the huge number of you who took time out of your active lives to provide us helpful and candid feedback.
Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a bit of a data nut. I don’t just like data, I looooove data. It’s the nerd in me. It’s my journalism training. And my Consumer Reports background. Data tells a story and it’s the kind of story that sucks me in and holds on for hours. Like I said, I’m a bit of a nerd.
Some of the findings from your feedback include the interesting fact that most of you (45.5%) come to the Clay Coyote, in person and online, to shop for yourselves. That’s awesome. Another 33% of you come for gifts. We also love giving handmade art to our loved ones and clearly you do too. And the rest come for various reasons. We’re open every day, so we here for any occasion.
When we asked you what you wanted to see more of online and in the Gallery you responded flameware, flameware, flameware. In fact it was the number one chosen response and the number one write-in. We get it. We want Clay Coyote Flameware back too. And the good news is that we listened, this May it’s back! We’ve got skillets, grill baskets, and cazuelas in our most recent firing. There is some up now in our Shop and Etsy and there will be more every 7-10 days. We’ve got a “head’s up” list going, so if you want one, please send me an email at [email protected] and we’ll add you to the list.
Another major request was for bakers, specifically for cassoles. More than 22% of you wanted these and vinegar crocks back. They’re up on the site and we’re getting more made every firing. Another 11.1% asked for trays, Michele Ebert is back in the Studio and her trays are stunning as ever.
Some of you wrote in answers to our questions. Some of you even wrote in answers to questions we didn’t ask.
We really love to hear from you. Not just when we send out surveys, we love the photos you send of your pots in action. We love reviews on Google, Facebook, and Etsy.
We even like it when you call and tell us about what’s not working (like the nice guy who called recently to ask for more side photos so he can better see the depth of some of our pots). Moments like this make us better. Data like this makes us better.
We promise we will always listen. And where we can, we will strive to improve.
Thank you for supporting our small handmade pottery studio and gallery.
